Chef Patron, Richard Napper, is passionate about using top quality, locally-sourced ingredients, which has won him accolades such as ‘Best Food and Drink Experience’ and ‘Best Restaurant’ two years’ running in the Coventry and Warwickshire Food and Drink Awards (sadly no longer contested), and a Diamond Award finalist in the Heart of England Fine Foods’ Hospitality Category. Richard is a genial host who is quite likely to visit your table once the last main courses have been served.
The style is un-fussy classical European. The A la Carte menu changes on a weekly basis and special dietary needs are no problem since all the dishes are cooked freshly to order, so please ask if you wish any modifications. Crisp white table linen, polished silver, flattering candlelight and unobtrusive classical background music provide the basis for intimate romance or smart business alike.

Elegantly decorated with a high ceiling and beautiful views of the garden in Spring and Summer, the main dining room accommodates up to 28 people with space to breathe. For large parties, up to 20 on one long table or, up to 28, on three parallel tables and, together with the private dining room next door, up to 35 people for a buffet party. The ‘Garden Room’ was formerly a conservatory and is ideal for parties of 8 -10 or less. For larger parties we recommend a ‘Party‘ menu comprising of three starters, three main courses, three desserts and coffee for a set price per head. Complimenting the quality of the food is an impressive wine cellar, a particular hobby of Richard’s. The wine list contains a variety of different styles and flavours of white, rose, and red wines and is augmented by some really nice dessert wines, malt whiskies, ports and liqueurs.
